Situation

The village of  Montauroux was built in the 13th century on a hilltop in order to protect itself from invaders, to which attest still today the remains of the ancient fortress, which was demolished during the religious wars at the end the 16th century.  Its narrow lanes and centuries-old houses have preserved its typically provençal character. 

The nearby artificial lake of Saint Cassien is the ideal place for all kinds of water sport (sailing, surfing, rowing) as well as fishing. The bamboo forest on the Siagne will enchant you with its exotic touch.  

25 km north of Saint Raphaël Montauroux, the “balcony of the Estérel mountains” lies, on 150 - 400 m height, in the midst of untouched nature between the Mediterranean and the foothills of the Alps.

Within eyespot are situated the golf course Terre Blanche of Tourrettes and one of the most famous gliding centers of Europe in Fayence.
